Flexible and durable enough for both indoor or outdoor use, the DW079KD rotary laser boasts accuracy to plus or minus 1/8-inch per 100 feet, and has protective features--like a rough-and-tough rotary cage--that guard against weather damage. This cage is also made up of several slender struts that offer two additional benefits: consistent power, and the prevention of blind spots. There's even a rubber over molding that helps reduce the likelihood of broken parts should you drop the DW079KD on potentially vulnerable areas.
Easy to operate with a user-friendly design, just turn the DW079KD on and let it go to work--it'll automatically level in either horizontal or vertical mode. You can see its beam up to 100 feet indoors, up to 2000 feet outdoors--simply control it with the included wireless remote. And the included clamp can locate the beam up to 1000 feet (radius) from the laser. For added convenience, this rotary laser and has an insulated battery door for quick battery removal and protection from water, dust, and debris.
DEWALT's XRP Extended-Life Battery System
A tool's only useful if it runs long enough to get the job done, and the DEWALT XRP extended run time batteries keep the DW079KD running at full tilt. They provide up to 40 percent more run time than standard Ni-Cad batteries, and any XRP battery can be used with any 18-volt DEWALT tool, which allows you to expand your system by adding other DEWALT cordless tools (sold separately) as the demands of your job grow.
The DW079KD comes with one 18-volt XRP battery and a 1-hour charger.
Warranty
This DEWALT tool is backed by three-year limited warranty covering any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship (from the date of purchase). It's also covered by DEWALT's three-year free service contract, where DEWALT will maintain the tool and replace worn parts caused by normal use--for free.
